About Us

Building something new on the strongest possible foundations

More than a century of championing business across West London — Hounslow, Ealing and Hammersmith & Fulham — united under one dynamic chamber.

Our History

A heritage that dates back to 1908

Founded in 1908, our chamber has been at the heart of West London business for 117 years. In the 1970s, the Feltham, Hounslow and Chiswick chambers came together, and in the years since — operating as Hounslow Chamber — we have run joint events with the Ealing and Hammersmith & Fulham chambers. That long collaboration has built an enviable reputation: highly active, deeply connected and consistently trustworthy. Scroll on to explore the milestones that shaped us.

A New Chapter

Introducing West London Chambers of Commerce

The London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) has invited us to extend our fully joined-up chamber service to Ealing and Hammersmith & Fulham — a role we are proud to take on under our new identity.

It’s a rebrand for the modern age: a powerful body created to help existing businesses expand both locally and internationally, and support the next wave of start-ups with the resources they need to thrive in a fast-moving marketplace.

Thinking Smart, Together

Three boroughs, one shared ambition

By uniting our borders, we give businesses the space they need to grow — bringing more employment and healthier high streets to the wider community.

A Symbiotic Community

Where experience meets fresh thinking

Our aim is to foster a genuinely symbiotic relationship: new enterprises learning from hard-won experience, and established firms tapping into the energy, fresh thinking and technical innovation that newer businesses bring.

Our Journey

Chamber History

More than a century of milestones — from a small tradesmen's association in 1908 to today's West London Chambers of Commerce.

1908

A merchants' association is born

The Hounslow Tradesmen's Association forms to give local merchants a collective voice. A year later it is reconstituted as the Hounslow Chamber of Commerce, planting the roots of every chapter that follows.

1913

Chiswick joins the movement

The Chiswick Chamber of Commerce is inaugurated, mirroring Hounslow's ambition. Two distinct business communities now stand alongside each other across West London.

1930

Feltham steps forward

What began in 1922 as the Feltham Tradesmen's Association becomes the Feltham Chamber of Commerce, completing the trio of independent chambers that will eventually unite.

1973–75

Three become one

Feltham merges with Hounslow to form the Hounslow & District Chamber of Commerce in 1973. Two years later Chiswick joins them, consolidating decades of local advocacy under a single banner.

1995–2000

A West London identity

Hounslow helps convene neighbouring borough chambers to launch the West London Chamber of Commerce, which evolves into West London Business by 2000. A regional voice for industry takes shape.

2008

A centenary, and a new home

The Chamber celebrates one hundred years of service and moves into new premises at West Thames College. A milestone of endurance and a launchpad for the next chapter.

2013

Hounslow Business Awards launched

The first Hounslow Business Awards spotlight local achievement and entrepreneurship, becoming an annual fixture in the borough's calendar.

2018

National recognition for exporters

The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy names the Chamber's West London Export Club winner for Support for Exporting in its Enterprise Awards — national recognition for work helping local firms trade globally.

2020

Expanding across West London

West London Local Chambers launches to bring full Chamber services to Ealing and Hammersmith & Fulham. The same year, approval as a Kickstart Gateway helps place more than 200 young people into work — a London Chamber record.

2022

West London Chambers of Commerce

At the LCCI's request, the organisation rebrands as West London Chambers of Commerce Ltd and unveils a refreshed identity — reflecting its broader remit and forward-looking ambition.
